Who we are
Bandana Pond Farm is owned by Morgan and Jett Odle alongside their two children, Kinley (7), and Lincoln (4). Morgan is a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant and is deeply passionate about the impacts of diet on community health. Jett co-owns Rivers Edge Coffee and also serves as the director of Agricultural Programing for the Dominion Energy Innovation Center in Ashland, Virginia.
As for starting their own farm? It all started with some chickens...
In spring 2022 the family got four chicks and immediately fell in love with keeping chickens. Meanwhile, while Jett and Morgan had always done some gardening, that year they planned and planted a 2,000 square foot garden full of veggies and flowers for the family. They also got honeybees and planted a field of wildflowers for them. This summer solidified their love for tending the land. Each year their dreams grew bigger and in 2024 they moved to 5 acres in Beaverdam, Virginia for room to stretch and grow. They expanded their operation with 13 more layer hens and a garden so large that they provided their extended family and neighbors with veggies all summer long.
By spring of 2025 they decided it was time to use this land and their love of farming it to provide for their community on a larger scale. They signed up to be vendors at the Ashland Farmer's Market and are looking forward to providing you with food that tastes as good as it feels.
